Microhood Spotlight: Mid Riff
Last night was The Bold Italic ‘Meet a Microhood: Mid Riff‘ event and several businesses (On Market St, around 6th) opened their doors in an attempt to showcase the diversity of the area. Let’s hope for a revival of the location-challenged block!

Tonight was Lana Del Rey’s free performance at Amoeba and the place was packed. I hadn’t seen that many people inside a record store since, well, ever.
#strangetrees
Another week-end, another hashtag project from the Instagram folks. This week-end theme was #strangetrees. Although not real trees, this reverse graffiti at the entrance of the Broadway tunnel provided a great shot opportunity. What is a reverse graffiti you wonder? It’s a dirty wall that is cleaned and scrubbed in a beautiful way!
Sunday Brunch
Despite the hour-long wait, Outerlands ended up being everything is was supposed to be; delicious, satisfying and pretty much effing amazing. The decor is rustic with a modern touch. The Dutch pancake filled with homemade ricotta was heaven. The N Judah will take you there (slowly, very s l o w l y). If you’ve got a friend living in the neighborhood, it’s definitely worth bribing them to put your name on the list before you get there!
SF Scavenger Hunt
Postagram and Instagramers SF put together an Instagram-inspired scavenger hunt today and oh my was it fun! Tons of things to photograph, stretches of blocks walked to find the perfect shots and lots of funny situations! My teammates were the best since we won the hunt!! Thanks @steve23sf, @laurenand, @liza_brighteyes and @ahcchin!!
